Rego has been associated with Holiday Village for nearly 30 years and has a long illustrious career to his credit. He began his career with Taj Hotels, Resorts and Palaces in 1970 and along the way, has had the privilege to cook for many celebrities and international dignitaries including many Presidents, Royalty, and corporate leaders.
Rego has been selected named “One of the best five chefs in India” by Hotel Federation of India and has organised and participated in many food festivals both in India and abroad. He has been seen on TV in many countries and has been featured in Upper Crust India, The Times, OHeraldo, and many other fine publications.

Goan Carnival
ThemeThe carnival is unique to Goa - nowhere else in India is this extravaganza held except right here. Live music gets the evening started. Life size carnival props create an atmosphere of revelry. Hats and whistles are passed around so everyone can join in. Then the parade begins. A four-piece Brass Band marches in, followed by the majestic King Momo and his entourage to kick off the Grand Carnival Parade. The guests join in a festive parade that ends up on the dance floor. The band plays non-stop dance music until the last guest leaves the floor. Viva! Carnaval!
Pirate NightHo! Ho! Ho! and a bottle of Rum! Your guests are greeted by (relatively) friendly pirates who stand at the entrance to the dramatic pirate's cave. Guests are handed eye patches and bandanas and can enter if they dare! A giant pirate ship waves the dreaded flag of skull and crossbones. Life size props of infamous pirates glare at you through clouds of smoke and beams of special effect lights. Skeletons rattle menacingly in the background and swords sway precariously. Treasure chests and rum barrels add to the ambience, as does the music - Goan fiesta music, which never fails to pull crowds to the dance floor.
Egypt - Timeless & ImmortalSpend a night with the Pharaohs. Saunter into the world of the Egyptian kings. Experience pyramids, mummies and a giant sphinx. There is also a Royal Barge ? the ceremonial vessel that took the Pharaohs on their last journey. Statues of gods, goddesses and high priests and priestesses flank you as you walk through this fantasy world of antiquity. Large urns and walls are carved with hieroglyphics and add to the imaginative charm of the evening.
Bollywood NightGraceful and glamourous, like the magical world of Bollywood.
The party takes shape around sets from different Hindi films. Bollywood props provide ambience with dancing girls, popular actors, actresses and characters and favourite villains. There is a Master of Ceremonies and a DJ to keep the Bollywood dance hits coming. You can add to the glamour with Bollywood party VIP options such as a Hindi orchestra, choreographed dance performances and a mini-fireworks display.
Goan Fishing Village A fishing village, part of Goa's rich cultural Heritage, provides a clever rustic atmosphere to for an enjoyable, theatrical event. The ambience is created with fishing boats, fishing nets & typical Goan village props such as taverna (the local village bar), toddy tapper, canoes, waves & traditional village lamps. It's a fun look at how things used to be complete with Goan folk dances & live music to match. |
